I understand the rule. That's fine, I made a mistake. She decided to cause a scene about it in a threatening manner, instead of politely telling me pets weren't allowed. No reason to all but scream at me. Mr. Jackson deserves to have better employees representing what he has built there. As for me never going back. Another man who was working there came up while we were walking away and he was nice and I appreciated that. Told him it wasn't his fault. But the old angry miserable cashier needs to be let go. Jackson's Orchard is better than that.
I've been going to Jackson's for nearly 30 years and today was the last time I will ever go. I brought my small dog with me which I was carrying. When we pulled up I saw a couple with a dog on a leash, so I thought it was OK. As soon as I walked in this woman who was one of the cashiers loudly said SIR SIR ran around the corner and got right up in my face. Treated me like a five year old and told me I needed to leave because pets aren't allowed. Extremely rude and loud manner though.
Went here last year in October and had a great time! It was way too easy to spend my money on everything :) would love to go back!!
I have been to Jackson's Orchard many times, But today after going with my child on a field trip I will probably never go back. I have not been treated that rude in a very long time . I was waiting to check out , I had an armful of stuff . I had a very hyper 5 yr old with me also so after waiting in line for ten minutes I was glad it was my turn and the check out girl just disappears and the other cashier said you will have to check out over here and put me back at the end of the line after I had already waited in one line. So when I said so I have to wait again she very rudely said "no one else had a problem with hearing me !!!" So then like I said I had a lot of stuff, plus a small child with me . I asked her if she could put the two small apple ciders in a bag please and she informed me very rudely "most people don't need a bag there are handles on the cider" ... She was beyond rude about me asking her to bag my stuff!! I had a 5 yr old... his pumpkin... Two candles... jars of food... and two containers of apple cider???? I refuse to go somewhere and spend 50$ plus and be talked to like that... it is supposed to be a family friendly environment and there was nothing friendly about that lady
Went for apple festival. Very nice place but one of the employees told my husband to go home because he was lying on a bench - which he was doing because of his recent knee surgery. Yes he's a robust man but his leg was clearly covered with incisions and it is a rough recovery. There were lots of other open seats available so it wasn't that. Would she tell a disabled person that he or she wasn't welcome? It felt nasty. Won't go back.
Lots of fun things for kids to do! The apple slush is wonderful and our guide/driver for our hayride was very kind with a cute sense of humor. One of those things that Bowling Green has to offer that should not be missed!
