My daughter and I stopped here on our way back home to Louisville KY from a business trip to Nashville TN. What wonderful grounds and art. I highly recommend it. Also handicapped accessable to sidewalk alongside the forest and Meadows.
Not only does this have well taken care of lovely, identified shrubs and trees, but it has a small art museum that allows views on all sides to artful landscaping. Beyond the landscaped area are acres of open fields with paved paths to just enjoy a walk away from the bustle. This is a place I want to come back to often.
It is a nice place but they have a large focus on evergreens which are not my favorite. The art museum is not my kind of art either. However I don't wish that I had my 30 minutes back that I spent there.
A beautiful collection of conifers, Asiatic maples, and dogwoods. An invaluable educational resource. The director is a wonderful fellow who is happy to engage with the public when his schedule allows, and the staff are courteous and knowledgeable.
Collections of item the Bakers jaf acquired from all of the world. Very fascinating.
