Me and my fiance were members for 1 year and we've decided not to renew our membership. This is a small town and there aren't many options to begin with honestly. My expectations are higher than most around here and I'm okay with that.
The Total Fitness Connection on Russellville road is just your run-of-the-meel gym that has outdated equipment, limited hours, showers and pool area in need of serious repairs and upgrades. One of the strangest 'Rules' of this gym is you have to leave your keys in a basket (accessible to everyone around and most of the time unattended) to get only 1 towel. Several treadmills and elliptical machines need to be replaced but I know they are not replacing/repairing them because they have been in current condition the entire year we were members.
Angela is my personal trainer she is awesome! She truly cares about her clients. She is always so cheerful, a great motivator , helpful, and understanding. Angela is the best personal trainer, if there was and option to give her more than 5 stars I would. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer.
I was a member at Fitness Formula Club in Chicago. I was at the East Lakeview and Gold Coast locations on a daily basis. I have no problem paying the dues ($160/mo. with Gold Coast access comes with an increase in dues) because of the amenities and level of service I received.
At the end of the day it will work for most but it just isn't what I was looking for and have decided to get a membership in Nashville where we work 5-7 days a week.
