I am not originally from the Bowling Green area, but as I decided to stay for my job, I had to rent an apartment. I wasn't really sure who I should go to for renter's insurance, but I drove past Tony Rhoades office on Scottsville Road regularly and decided to stop in. My experience was certainly pleasant. The young woman I met with was charming, genuine, and knowledgeable about the insurance that I would need in order to cover all of my belongings. I have been highly satisfied with my coverage and the personnel that I dealt with during my visits. The young woman I worked with actually forgot to have me sign a piece of paper that I needed because we got to chatting so much. Even though I had to come back to sign the paperwork, it was hardly a problem because the young ladies at the front treated me just as well. Phenomenal customer service. Thank you!

I've been a State Farm customer for over 20 years. Unfortunately, in the past few years I have had some very poor customer service experiences with Tony Rhodes employees twice during visits to his office and two times over the phone to his local office. Description of 1 incident: I called the Tony Rhodes office in Bowling Green to ask some questions about insurance for a new car. I asked many questions to try to understand why the cost was as I was told. Suddenly the guy exclaimed "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! THATS NOW HOW WE CALCULATE RATES!!" Speaking this way to a customer is completely unacceptable. He could have said "If you've got a minute, I'd like to explain to you how we calculate rates." A couple of weeks later I decided to visit their office to give them some "feedback" about proper customer care. Someone greeted me and introduced himself as their vice president. I told him why I was there and he apologized (But he was not the person who was rude over the phone) for the behavior of his employee. He had me sit with a representative to explain to me the insurance rates. During this time he brought me a $20 visa gift card "for my trouble". That evening when I tried to activate the gift card I found it had $0 value. I selected card activity and learned that the card was depleted months ago! So I moved my insurance needs to a different State Farm agent in Bowling Green. I spent some time telling the owner of my new State Farm office all of the issues with Tony Rhodes State Farm. She was very surprised about my experience and promised that it would not happen at her office. So...my advice is that you are better off getting insurance from anywhere but Tony Rhodes State Farm until he purges his staff.

I've had state farm insurance for 20+ years. I've had nothing but trouble with this office. If you are involved in a accident, and you want to get anything resolved you have to call yourself. This office will not handle any of the phone calls. I stayed on the phone for several days,calling them, calling other insurance companies. I'm still trying to figure out what they are getting paid for? They finally tried to settle with me, offering used parts to repair my car. I ended up having to put money with what they paid to put my car back the way it was. Really went downhill since the Jack Daniels office closed and Tony Rodeo took over.
