I have been to this office several times and they have always been very courteous.
I have lived in Bowling Green, KY for almost 13 years now and have never been treated poorly by any of the workers here. Sure every now and then someone doesn't chat you up when they are busy, but over all the staff seems very nice. I went in to say to get my truck tags and was pleasantly surprised to walk right and the woman who waited on me was super friendly and pleasant. I think we have to remember we all have bad days. I didn't give it a 5 star because parking can be a pain and some times the lines are super long but that depends when you go.
Staff works hard, but lines are usually unacceptably long. More staff needed. Biggest complaint is no Saturday hours. Private sector businesses could never function this way.
Today I went to the clerks office and I have never had any bad experiences. With the ladies working there. Until today. I have ever been so disrespected. By a lady called Kelly that works there. The moment I spoke in Spanish her whole attitude changed and she became so rude. I was NOT upset that I didn't have my papers ready and she couldn't sign. I was upset at her attitude. It's her JOB to tell me what I need to get In order. I had to walk away so I would not be disrespectful to her. And when I came back to talk to the county clerk. She pushed it away as a misunderstanding. Of course she is nice and kind to other people. Because most of them are not Hispanic. Day in and day out I hear of Hispanic people getting rude attitudes by city workers. And they never do anything about it. And I'm TIRED of it. Mrs. Kelly. U need to learn manners. YOU work for the city. And you are the face of they city in a way. Idc if u had a bad day. Just because I spoke in Spanish to my sister in law it doesn't give u a right to assume what I said and treat me as if I was stupid. You don't need to insult me to be rude. Ur attitude left a lot to be desired. It's sad how they work for the city and yet when they are disrespectful to the people OF the city. They hold NO repercussions.
