Got some free black eyed peas for New Year's
Cracker Barrel’s are always consistently great places to eat. This one is no exception. I love to stop in this one while traveling. I am there frequently as I travel that way 1-4 times a month. Always good food - whether it is breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a dessert and coffee. The gift shop always has great choices. I have stopped just to get out of my car and walk around the shop to stretch my legs. I am always amazed at how fast their stock turns over. These restaurants have great staff. What a great restaurant!
Customer Service was excellent! Our Server returned to our table on 5 occasions to see if we needed anything. As well, the Manager checked to see if we were pleased with our food. As a former Restaurant Manager, I know the kind of service customers expect AND deserve thus, if I am impressed with my experience, it must be outstanding!
Now let me tell ya what...
There is more. My kids grabbed three things from the 3/$5 rack. I sent them to the counter with a 5 and enough change to cover tax. She rang it all at the individual item price and overcharged us. I tried to explain they were all from the 3/$5 rack and it was like trying to explain physics to a three year old. I give up. By the way she was 4 star on the cracker barrel 5 star achievement scale.
Everything seemed clean

If you like Cracker Barrel, then you will like this one as they are very consistent in making them as similar as possible. Friendly service and clean all over. Good country style cooking. We had a party of six and waited about five minutes for a table on a holiday.
Server was great very friendly and attentive
Stopped in for a purchase from the gift shop only because they have a few items that I can't purchase somewhere else. The person running the cash register could not make change when I handed her $11.00 instead of $10.00. She made a comment under her breath, "I am not sure what just happened here", and then she reached for the calculator. If the change is $4.72, adding another $1.00 to the cash tendered makes that $5.72. This is hardly a calculator level problem.
