Otherwise I give the hotel 5 stars. It's generally comparably priced with a Hampton Inn or comparable, but Home2 Suites tend to be newer and in better shape in my experience.
This is basically the Hilton brand's attempt at a contemporary and "hip" hotel. I'm not really going to judge whether or not they succeeded at that or not, as I don't put a lot of the thought in to the decor of my hotel.
The hotel has always been clean and the staff friendly/helpful. I have only ever stayed one night, so I can't really comment on housekeeping between days, which as I understand it, is a little different at the Home2 Suites.
Although I have never had the desire to take a swim, the indoor pool looks nice and well maintained.
I stayed this past Saturday night 8-26-17 for one night and had a horrible experience. I am an employee with Hilton and I understand how hard the hospitality industry can be, but these issues were ridiculous. There was pet hair all over the floor, dust everywhere, and on one of the beds, the flat sheets was rolled up in a ball (obviously previously used), and the other bed had hair in it. I went to the desk and just asked for a vacuum and some fresh linen and decided to just change it myself given the fact that I already had such a big discount, being an employee. The sheets that I was given by the desk associate had hair all over them as well, and I brought them back up and showed her. She then gave me a room key to another room and was going to move me rooms, but the cleanliness of that one (222) was just as bad, if not worse. The smell of the room overall was horrible, and there was a sticky substance all over the sink, so we decided to stick it out with the room we were originally in (122). Like I stated before, I have worked at a Hilton property for 10 years, so I completely understand how hard this business can be, I just feel like these cleanliness issues are unacceptable. The desk employees were completely unapologetic towards me and acted annoyed when I mentioned all of this. It was just an awful experience all around.
This is a pretty new hotel. I have been impressed with the amenities and the staff has been great. We have two small children and the staff has been super helpful and attentive. I will definitely stay here again.
I tend to stay here while traveling with my wife and baby, and I enjoy the kitchen sink and the large amount of counter/desk space in the living area.
Rooms are setup nicely. Very spacious with an accommodating breakfast selection. Heated indoor pool a nice perk as well.
Overall, we have had great experiences here over multiple visits and I consider it a good value for the money.
Breakfast has always been good. They have your standard hotel choices along with some healthier options and breakfast sandwiches that you might not find at a Hampton.
Rooms were spacious. Pool was perfect for kids. Breakfast was perfect. Staff was amazing. Price point was right on point. Will be looking for Home2 Suites whenever we travel.
