Employees were nice. Room was okay. Nice bed linens, HARD bed, microwave & fridge (doesn't get really cold though), bath towels are small and thin. Two biggest issues for me are; the thin ceilings & walls (you can hear everyone walking around and all the doors closing) and the fact that with the older AC/heat unit in my room, it's almost impossible to regulate the temperature and find a happy median. Though for $60+- a night, I think it's worth it and would probably stay here again.
Great place to stay!! Check-in was super easy and staff was friendly. Easy to find the elevator and where the room was. The room was real clean, a little tiny but clean. Breakfast was continental, and good everything was fresh. Again breakfast area was a little a small and cramped but doable. Staff made sure to keep the area clean and things on stock. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to bowlinggreen!
I have never left a review of anywhere in my life before. However Rock City is not just anywhere. The combination of Mother Nature's Own incredible beauty, combined with a few tweaks from man have created one of the most magnificent things I have ever been privileged to see. At first I thought this was going to be just another nature hike, boy oh boy was I wrong. I am not sure where I got pulled in at whether it was the sweeping Vistas or the hidden surprises around the corners but somewhere in this hike something changed, I went from being a jaded adult to a child looking around in Wonder and joy and that is a sensation I have not had in way too many years. Even now as I sit here trying to paint a picture for you on how magnificent this truly is it almost brings me to the point of Tears as I remember it maybe I'm just getting soft in my old age. I truly do believe if you take this trip and you keep your mind open you will in some small way be changed, if you do not find something here that brings a smile to your face you might just be dead. I could probably write an entire novel about Rock City however I am not going to bore you any longer the place can be summed up in four words. Rock City TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!
Friendly, helpful ladies at the front desk. Room was extremely spacious and very clean. Great room for a great price. Will definitely be back.
Exceeded my expectations for the price. The rooms are small and no frills, hence the name. But everything was clean and functional, and the breakfast, while basic, was better than most hotels I've been to: waffle maker, biscuits and gravy, bagels, cereal, fruit, milk and juices. If you're looking for a place to sleep overnight while on the road and get a good start the next morning, I would highly recommend Microtel.
